Five sheep are having trouble falling asleep because they hear sounds in the night. When the sheep dog comes along and sees all the sheep awake and worried, it goes about settling in each sheep with a drink, a hug, a stuffed animal, a blanket and a lullaby.  All the sheep go to sleep and have sweet dreams, and so does the sheep dog.  

This is a sweet going to bed book for young readers.  I enjoyed the rhyming texts which makes it a good read aloud.  The illustrations are my only complaint about this book.  The sheep dog sometimes looks like a black and white sheep. There are other more appealing books for bedtime.
