Pip helps a mother duck by sitting on her nest while she runs an errand. But while she's gone, the ducklings hatch, and they think Pip is their mama!
The plot of this one is nothing new, but the pictures are colorful and fun, and the ending is cute. The sparse text, simple language, and large font make this one accessible for even beginning readers. Would be especially good as an addition to a leveled reader collection in a classroom or library.
