Flashfall by Jenny Moyer - ADVISABLE

Moyer, Jenny Flashfall, 342 pgs. Henry Holt, 2016. $17.99 Language – PG (14 swears, 0 “f”), Mature Content – PG13; Violence – PG13;

Freedom can be bought to the protected city for any Subpar who mines 400 grams of cirium from the deadly depths of the tunnels. It takes a lifetime to mine that much cirium for most Subpars, but Orion is the best ore scout Outpost 5 has ever seen, and she is going to get out. Nothing can stop Orion from leaving the outpost and taking everyone she can with her in the process.

Despite still being unsure about the back story, I loved being a part of Orion’s desperate search for hope and freedom. Orion is always on the move, fighting not only for her own survival but for the survival of all Subpars. Facing innumerable obstacles to their freedom, there is never a good place to even think about putting this book down. Hopefully someone turns this action-packed adventure into a movie.
