Five cabins, five girls each, at a summer camp for the poor
owned by the mysterious businessman Inge F. Yancey IV find themselves fighting
for their lives at this terrifying camp. From beating the plush campers across
the lake, to fulfilling an ancient quest, no camper can be saved from the
dangers and what seems as magic. To solve the mystery and stay alive seem one
and the same at Camp So-and-So, and the girls intend to do both. The girls will
have to work as one to achieve the impossible and tear down a regime that has
gone on too long.
Camp So-and-So was so-so. The basic plotline seemed great,
but you never get into the groove of reading it and it leaves a bad taste in your
mouth. Mary Mccoy never seemed to commit to one story and I felt it never truly
came together in the end. The best part was likely the formatting and the
setting, which were described elegantly. I would give this book three stars at
maximum.
