Quinnie Boyd lives in the small town of Maiden Rock, Maine.  Her mother is the Sheriff, the Postmaster, and the local real-estate agent.  Her father owns a quaint diner that is the local hot spot.  Life for Quinnie is pretty perfect until her favorite teacher, Ms. Stillford, goes missing.  As the clues to her teachers disappearance begin to pile up, Quinnie and her best friend Ben and new friend Ella decide to take matters into their own hands to discover the culprits and save the day.

This was a smart, funny, mystery that will hook young readers right from the beginning.  Quinnie and her friends encounter some great characters along the way from a group of rock stars to speeding nuns in their hunt to find their beloved teacher.  This book will really appeal to the 3rd-7th grade reader.
