Blackburne, Livia  Daughter of Dusk (Midnight Thief, #2), 376 pgs.  Hyperion, 2015.  $17.99  Content: Language: G; Mature Content: PG; Violence: PG-13.

Kyra has learned more about her heritage and she doesn’t know what that means to the people she cares about most.  Kyra is working for the Palace, but she also wants peace with the Demon Riders.  As she tries to figure out where her relationship is with Tristam and negotiate with the Demon Riders, a new threat presents itself within the walls of the Palace.  Kyra has to figure out who she will fight for and what she believes in.

This is a great sequel to A Midnight Thief.  The characters are easy to like and the action moves the story along quickly.  This book has a satisfying ending and it is easy to recommend.  The violence is war violence.
