Dot the bunny comes home with her parents one day to find a basket with
a wolf cub inside. Dot’s parents love
the new baby and make it part of the family.
Dot continually tries to remind her parents that wolves eat bunnies, but
they just love the wolf and don’t listen.
One day while Dot and Wolf are at the carrot store, a bear tries to eat
the wolf and Dot sticks up for her brother.
She realizes that he is a part of her family and she loves him.
This book has a cute message about loving someone for
who they are as an individual. Dot is a
fun character and it has a good message, but the illustrations are different and feel old fashion. The cover isn’t attractive
and I don’t think it will grab young readers’ attention. I read this book to my boys, after they
passed over it as a night time pick for weeks, and they said they didn’t like
it, it was weird.
