This book is told through four different characters who rotate chapters.  Lara has come a long way from her middle school years where she was overweight and teased with names like “Lardo and Lardosaurus.”  She has slimmed down and made the cheerleading squad in high school.  When a guy she meets on line cruelly dumps her she tries to commit suicide.  Lara’s suicide attempt is posted on line and receives likes and dislikes on Facebook.  The book deals with what the victim is going through and also what happens when the perpetrator is discovered and the backlash that ensues.    

The author leaned on current news stories about bullying and online vigilantism, which makes the story relevant for young adults.
