Because Emma works
for a bridal shop, she gets to spend time with the famous Hollywood star,
Romaine Ford. Turns out Romaine is in
town for her movie premiere, which is actually just a cover for her wedding. When she
asks Emma to make cupcakes, in place of a wedding cake, for the big day, Emma
is thrilled. But it has to be kept a giant secret, which isn’t so thrilling.
Worst of all, since its last minute, and her cover story is poor, the girls of
club cupcake aren’t that interesting in the project. Can Emma pull it off
alone?
I really enjoy
reading this series, except that it makes me so hungry for sweets. I can’t
believe the series is already at #19! After reading the first two or so books,
any of the rest can function as a stand alone. This particular book was really interesting
because Emma had to grapple with secrets and hard work.

I also really like this series, but am glad you mentioned the stand alone quality. It's tough to commit to so many books when they HAVEo be read in order. I think I stopped buying at 12. May reconsider.
