I know it is easy now to go to your refrigerator and get a
glass of ice at a push of a button.
But until the 1820’s, ice was something that only the wealthy could
afford outside of winter. Pringle
takes something that may be obsolete and makes into interesting, readable
history. For a business that
really only lasted 100 years, it certainly makes for interesting reading. If your students really enjoy
non-fiction, this is a solid addition.
