Rinn has to move from California to a small town in Ohio where her
mother grew up. The reason they have to
move is because Rinn is bi-polar and the last episode she had ended in the
death of her grandmother, and her stepfather has distanced himself from her and
her mother. When Rinn gets to Ohio she
falls in with a popular group of girls and the handsome neighbor boy. Her friends tell her of a ghost that haunts a
hall in the school and when the friends want to test the ghost stories, her
friends lives change for the worse. In
an attempt to understand what the ghost wants so it will stop haunting her,
Rinn goes off her medication to communicate with the ghost, but once she does
that she can’t tell which is the ghost and which is her bi-polar voices.
I couldn’t put this book down. I liked the main character and her sweet
boyfriend. It was creepy and dark, but
not horrifying; however, the amount of swearing was distracting.
