Bag in the Wind by Ted Kooser

Kooser, Ted, Bag in the Wind. Candlewick Press, 2010. PICTURE BOOK.

When a bag gets thrown away for no reason, the wind picks it up and it goes on an adventure, getting recycled and reused. Until one of the people who picked up and used the bag gets it back when they go to the store.

This book has simple text and it conveys a good message about recycling, but hammers the point a little too much. The illustrations are beautiful, but probably wouldn’t appeal to most kids reading the story. Although this book might help introduce kids to recycling, I would not generally recommend this book.
