Charlie is an adorable bunny and his two friends are Lulu
(bird), and Oliver (elephant). Charlie
and his friends go fishing and they both catch a fish and he catches a
stick. They decide to make boats and
Charlie’s is the slowest. He’s happy for
his friends, but a little sad. They
decide to build a big boat together and go fishing and Charlie finally catches
a fish.
The watercolor and ink illustrations are soft, idyllic, and
utterly charming. The story is perfect
for preschoolers and kindergarteners. It
teaches that instead of comparing with your friends, it is more fun to work
together.
