EL, MS - ADVISABLE

When Arianwyn goes to her official witch assessment, the judge declares that her control over the magical glyphs is weak, so she is only an apprentice.  Nevertheless, she assigned a small village near the Great Wood.  She tries her best, but still has a lot to learn.  When her archrival arrives in town, things become much more complicated, confused, and dangerous.  To save the village Arianwyn needs to come up with big magic, but she is entangled with a dark glyph that can be her ruin or her salvation.

I’m not sure how to explain this book in more detail without giving important things away.  I finished the whole thing in one sitting – I enjoyed Arianwyn and her adventures that much.  It is not showy or flashy, but a solidly built narrative with lots of room for new adventures.
