Echo the mermaid girl, is supposed to be a huge part of her upcoming dance performance. But after she is injured riding a friends seahorse, she isn’t even allowed to swim, let alone dance. They try quite a few ways to get her tail better with mixed results. Will she be healed in time to compete?
This book features some valuable lessons about friendship and supporting your team. The illustrations are darling and the author has done a good job building this world. I have read quite a few books in this series and they are all very similar in quality and popular with 2nd grade readers at my school. In long series I tend to stick with books 1-5 or so and so I probably wouldn’t add this to my school library, but it was a nice read.
