The Way to Game the Walk of Shame by Jenn P. Nguyen - OPTIONAL

Nguyen, Jenn P.  The Way to Game the Walk of Shame, 310 pgs.  Swoon Reads, 2016 (Feiwel and Friends).  $9.99  Content: Language: R (100+ swears); Mature Content: PG-13 (underage drinking, casual sex, sexual references); Violence: G.

Taylor has let the stress of not getting early acceptance into Columbia get to her head.  She goes to a party with her friend, gets drunk and finds herself waking up in the bed of Evan, the notorious lady’s man of the school.  Afraid for her reputation, she convinces Evan to pretend to be her boyfriend and the school is surprised that they are together.  As they pretend, some things start to feel real and they see the good in each other but the line of their relationship is confusing.

This is a fun high school romance with interesting characters that are easy to like.  The story line has a good pace and was hard to put down.  I liked it, but it’s hard to recommend because of the amount of swears (no “F” bombs) and the sexual topics that are throughout.

HS – OPTIONAL.  Reviewer, C. Peterson.
