Billy Sure Kid Entrepreneur (#1) by Luke Sharpe -ADVISABLE

Sharp, Luke Billy Sure Kid Entrepreneur (#1) 154 pgs. Simon & Schuster, 2015. $6.99 Content: Language: G (0 swears); Mature Content: G Violence: G
Billy has a successful invention, he is even going to be on TV to promote it. Its called an All Ball, it’s a ball that can turn into five different kinds of sports balls. His fame is making him a bit uncomfortable, especially at school. When Billy and his best friend Manny hold a contest to get invention ideas, they find a great one. Now can Billy design it successfully? This is a big worry, because Billy has a big secret about who really invented the All Ball.
This is such a great book. There are many believable characters with an intriguing plot that makes you want to brainstorm invention ideas yourself. I would recommend it for 4-5th graders, the main character is in middle school, but the cover is kind of younger looking. There is continuing intrigue for a second book. I enjoyed reading this book and think students will too.
