Builder Mouse: A Story of Friendship, Creativity, and the Fine Art of Compromise by Sofia Eldarova- ADVISABLE

Eldarova, Sofia. Builder Mouse: A story of friendship, creativity, and the fine art of compromise, PICTURE BOOK. Clarion Books, 2016. Edgar the mouse loves to build towers of food. He hopes to become an architect one day. His roommate and friend, Toby, loves to eat everything. Edgar’s towers become lunch very quickly. Edgar is fed up and decides to look for somewhere else to create his masterpieces without them being eaten. He tries the subway, a restaurant, and an art museum. When everything still gets eaten, he heads back home to Toby, who surprises him with building blocks. This was cuter than I expected based on the cover. The illustrations aren’t my favorite, but the story turned out to be unique and well done. K-3, EL- ADVISABLE. Reviewed by Shay, High School Librarian
