Penguin: 12 Days of Picture Books blog tour

Do you have a child on your list who has an imagination that leaves you breathless?  Introduce her/him to Ladybug Girl and stand back and watch the creativity flow even faster.

Lulu is excited to have her friend Finny come to play because she wants to play with Finny’s new toy a Rolly-Roo.  When Lulu picks playing with the Rolly-Roo over Finny it hurts Finny’s feelings.  When Lulu realizes her mistake she tells Finny sorry and they have fun together doing what Finny wants.

The illustrations in this book are adorable, especially Lulu’s basset hound.  The message is a good one about friendship and respecting other people’s feelings.  The bright red outfit Lulu wears makes her look like a ladybug and will appeal to little girl readers.
