Set in 1870s New York, George Choogart has just stepped off the boat and wants to make a name for himself as a newspaper reporter in America. When Geroge stumbles across the Woodrat Club, an underground boxing club, he discovers a world of corruption that is too dangerous for either of them. With Woodrat staff members disappearing and the wealthiest man in New York, Jim Dickinson, possibly to blame, George must uncover what is going on. But, he’ll have to conquer the boxing ring first. Will he succeed or will he disappear too?
