While this looks at first like a regular picture book, the story only comprises the first few pages. The main attraction is the pop-up play castle readers can unfold from the joined pages in the second half. This would make a fun gift for a little one, but it is unlikely to hold up well in a library or classroom, and the many paper pieces would soon be lost. Because of its portability, it may be good for on a trip, especially for children who love to play with dollhouses but don't exactly have room to take one along in the car.
