Do you have the courage to disobey the warnings at the beginning of this book and read it anyway? And if you do, just what will happen? A hilarious catastrophe, that's what! Those who have long loved The Monster at the End of this Book may find this one a tiny bit derivative, but it's still a lot of fun, and its use of reverse psychology, its silly humor, and its sense of impending calamity will likely hold readers' attention. It works well for a read-aloud and would be particularly good for a lesson on making predictions.
