Twins Felix and Maisie travel through history
on adventures that help them discover lessons about the people they encounter
as well as themselves. The fifth book in the Treasure Hunters series
begins with Maisie trying to navigate the jr. high social scene. Her
brother Felix, seems to be having a much easier time and she struggles to find
out why she feels so out of place. Add in the big changes going on with their
divorced Mother and Father, and Maisie seeks refuge through a time traveling
adventure with her brother. They meet the young Native American that
grows up to become Crazy Horse, learning about the importance of valuing yourself
along the way.
Readers who loved Magic Tree House and are ready for more
challenging reading would most likely enjoy this series.
