This book explains what mammals are and the definition of
endangered. It then gives five different
mammals that are endangered a closer look.
It has very basic explanations about how the animal is in trouble and a
defining characteristic of that animal.
It then has five animals that are extinct. It follows with ways people can help these
endangered animals and gives the success story of grizzly bears coming off the endangered
species list.
The photographs are great
and the animals are interesting, but I felt like I wanted to know more. This series is a real basic look at this
problem, but I felt frustrated with the simple re-explanation of endangered
instead of how the specific animal was in danger.
