A Midterm Nights Scheme (Chicagoland Detective Agency #6) by Trina Robbins –NO

Trina, Robbins and Illustrated by Page, Tyler A Midterm Nights Scheme (Chicagoland Detective Agency #6)  128 pgs. Graphic Universe, 2014. $6.95 Content: Language: G (0 swears); Mature Content: PG13 Violence: G. GRAPHIC NOVEL
Luna is a middle school witch whose potions are missing. She brings her case to the Chicagoland Detective agency, which is a group of her fellow students who like to solve crimes. But it turns out that Luna has a crush on Megan, one of the detectives, and when she gives her a love potion things go wrong. Now Megan is in love with their talking dog Bradley. Things come to a head at the science fair, where the potions cause havoc. Will the true culprit be found? Will Luna find the real girl she is supposed to be with?
This graphic novel was a chaotic mess. I thought it was both too mature and too immature. Featuring girl on girl crushes between 13 year olds and then super immature jokes and a really random goofy plotline. The artwork was unappealing and only added to the confusion of this bizarre story. I think the end of the line for me was the girl on dog crush. Yuck.
