Navigators: Ancient Rome by Phillip Steele - ADVISABLE

Steele, Phillip  Navigators: Ancient Rome  Kingfisher, 2009. $8.99 PICTURE BOOK  Content: PG.

This is a factual book about Rome.  On each page is a multitude of pictures and explanations about different aspects of Rome’s history.  There are facts about the different leaders, how Rome was believed to have begun, the different parts of armor, the building throughout Rome, fashions, religions, etc.  The pictures are fantastic and detailed.  Each page layout has so much information to look over with matching pictures.  Not any one page is too detailed, but gives a brief and exciting look at the aspect the page is concentrating on, like religion or Julius Ceaser.  Each page layout also has a website that the reader can go to find more information.  Great books that will peak the interest of any young reader.
