A Place for Frogs by Melissa Stewart

Stewart, Melissa A Place for Frogs, illustrated by Higgins Bond.  Peachtree, 2009.  PICTURE BOOK.  NON-FICTION.  $16.95.  Stewart does a great job explaining the place and importance of frogs in the world’s ecosystem – and the importance of protecting them.  Simple narrative accompanies bright illustrations – and a textbox on each page adds depth for older readers.  What a great book for a science lesson!  EL – ESSENTIAL.
